First thing. I don’t think TSA understands what PRE-screen means. I get that they will randomly screen even if you have TSA-Pre or Global Entry. But 3-4 times in a row does not seem like random to me. What a pain. Maybe TSA is picking on Global Entry folks?
What can I say? I love the pod! It is even better than when they first upgraded their first class section several years ago.
I watched one movie until dinner. Really good movie! Then to sleep. Bumpy flight, but not so bad when you are prone.
Lots of leg room. Full blanket and pillow.
Snacks and meal. I slept through the breakfast and woke up as we were approaching to land.
Yin & Yang would say not everything is good, just like not everything is bad.
Baggage handling was bad. We landed in terminal D. Went down to baggage claim. Nothing. Board said A28. So had to get to terminal A which was several miles away. Get there and the carousel is empty. Go to baggage folks and they said they were having trouble located bags from the flight. What da?!?
After much searching on their system and calling around, bags were at A16. What da!?! I was not the only one not happy to run around all over for bags. One guy shipped his bike over and I hope they found it.
My driver was very patient with this whole ordeal. And Hunter was so nice. After I found out I had to go back to Terminal A, he came and got me and shuttled me back to get my bag before taking me to the hotel.
I know that is why folks do not like checking bags. But I feel naked without a knife, so that is why I check one.
Had also requested early check in at the hotel. But they were full up over night, so my room wasn’t ready. I really just wanted to unpack, clean up and iron my clothes. And then maybe a nap.
But, I settled for breakfast buffet while I wait. Saw the omelette station after I got eggs, so had the nice lady just sautéed up some veggies for me.
