Usually the weekend mornings and some week nights are my puppy bonding time, either with a run or a walk. Not to mention the hikes which Nori loves.
Today was a walk. Knee is still stiff and achy from the four hikes in the past two weeks and from me tweaking it in Dallas.
Started with some protein. The boiled peanuts were a much firmer texture after refrigeration.
Saw Lulu & Danny of Fri-Chi. And lots of mountain apples.
By the time we got back, it was time for brunch. So I made tofu two ways. With fermented bean curd paste. And the lighter way with green onions and a sprinkle of dried shrimp furikake. And shoyu with a splash of sesame oil.
Finished with an orange. I usually only make the orange island for the girls. But today, I made it for me. I used a stainless Opinel that I keep in my pack for food prep.
Washed it down with a cup of hot tea.
Puppy was tired.
