It is not everyday, you get to train with and learn from champions. With people at the very top of their game. Many times, you never get that chance.

Well, we have that chance. My friend, Tsun-Hui, is bringing her teacher to Hawaii. And I am trying to get enough people together to get him to our class. The target class is Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at our usual class time from 1-3pm.

唐人屏 is a professor at the National Taiwan University of Sport in the department of Chinese martial arts. He is also a coach for the Taiwanese national martial arts team. And a world champion of Chinese wrestling. He teaches qigong, tai chi, chin na (joint locks), Chinese wrestling and weapons. His name sounds like Tang Renping.

Here are a couple of videos.

To make it happen, I need to have commitment from at least 15-20 people. This is a paid class, so I will collect $20 per person for it. If you want to give more, that is ok too. Here is where the money is going. $15 goes to Tang Renping. $1.50 goes to Momilani as usual. And the balance will be used to buy leis for Tang Renping and Tsun-Hui. If there is anything left over, a small gift. I would also like to take them out to a meal. Maybe Gyotaku at 11:30 before class? Let me know if you would like to join too. We can go dutch and I will get the meals for our guests.

Tsun-Hui will be coming too. She will act as the translator. But she is no slouch. She is a Taiwan national champion in tai chi.

So I hope to have him at least teach us some qigong and tai chi. I would love the martial stuff too and weapons. But for our group, maybe the qigong and tai chi would be the best use of time. Professor Tang will also teach the sword. And of course, demonstration(s)!!

So let me know if you would like to be a part of this. Your payment in advance will be your confirmation. None of this is set yet. It depends on getting enough people to attend to make it worthwhile. But at $20, I think it is a bargain. Please let me know.

Addendum: WE ARE GOOD TO GO! THANK YOU! Still have space available.
