Today was a long day starting early. 0 dark thirty to be exact. 4:30 am if you must know.

Monkeys were everywhere. Zhen volunteered for the Onizuka event. Wendi went trail running. I made coffee and breakfast and took the dog. Then picked Zhen up.

Then Wendi took Zhen to soccer. I did Mulan’s hair and took her to her dance performance. Here’s the sassy hair on the sassy girl.

Nori was not impressed.

After grabbing a short power nap in the truck, it was dinner time. Since Mulan doesn’t eat her bento that comes with her ticket, I figured I would eat it and go back to sleep. Was feeling the late nights and early mornings.

Her "bento" consisted of three little bites. One bite of small tekka maki, one bite of maki sushi and one bite of a small cone sushi. That really wouldn’t do!!

So my deliberation was to walk to some place in Kapahulu or Waikiki, go to L&L downstairs or something else.

My choice was something else. I used up the last of my Akasaka gift card for a real bento. A teishoku choice of three. Had sashimi, of course, tempura and miso butterfish. It came with the obligatory edamame appetizer, miso soup and salad. And they usually comp me something when I go. Agedashi tofu!

Came home to find Wendi and Zhen upstairs in the master bedroom foyer watching Early Man.
