Today was a wet one. It was really coming down hard and the roads had lots on ponding. But especially glad to not hear of any of the Kailua tai chi folks getting injured with the helicopter crash.

Made it home and took the dog out in the rain. I felt that much heavier was coming. And it did. Started thundering once we got under the garage and it came down.

Went in and made a late lunch. Leftover steak, cut up and in a sandwich. With java chip ice cream for dessert.

Wendi and the girls love spaghetti with clam sauce. Especially Mulan. She asks for it at least weekly. I love fresh clams. Wendi and Zhen like it too. But not Mulan. She won’t eat it. She prefers chopped clams. So I make it with a couple of cans of chopped clams and a couple of baby clams, which she also likes.

So I sautéed garlic in olive oil and butter, added onions and a whole bunch of dried herbs. Thanks Loretta for the herbs. (Whatever Wendi did not plant, we let dry and add to cooking.). Then added the clams. Seasoned with sea salt and lime juice. Thanks Ardi for the limes. Then tossed in al dante organic spaghetti. Very good.
