Anyway... I add her a veggie dish from our garden harvest. Basically wild bitter melon and Hawaiian sweet potato leaves in black bean sauce with brown rice. And thank you, Loretta, for the Hawaiian chili pepper. Kicked it up a tiny notch.


I sautéed garlic, then shallots.




Added wild bitter melon. I like to cut them in half. More flavor to me.




Add black bean sauce.




Add a whole load of sweet potato leaves. Add a splash of bone broth, then cover and turn down the heat for a little steaming action.




Mix em up.




I only added two Hawaiian chili peppers. Wendi thought it was spicy. I thought just a tiny hint of heat. Whichever. It was good.





I like shiso on my rice.




Maybe I’ll cook bacon tomorrow. Would that be mean?
