Missed Fri-Chi. Went on mountain apple hunt. Hot day. Nice hike. We found the mountain apple grove and a whole slew of stuff. But most were not ready to eat. Maybe a month away unless we get a bunch of rain.

We found vervain, strawberry guava, guava, mango, kukui, mountain apple, wild berries (blueberries and the elusive wild raspberry), and marungay.

After about a mile in, the vervain became plentiful and we grazed. A few blueberries were ready. And the marungay. Everything else is for next time.

Also found out my black dog turned brown.

Nori was tired. Yet did not want to take a bath. She did have a bunch of dirt baths after all.

Also found out from a couple of young hunters we encountered doing a short stalk, that there is a secret waterfall to the left of the stream on the ridge trail. There was zero water today. Stream was bone dry. Will have to look next time. That is toward the mountain apple grove anyway.

Costco turkey provolone sandwiches all around after. THAT was a successful forage.
